Smart Residential & Commercial Revenue Meter – Three Phase

iMeter GD is a latest generation intelligent three phase revenue meter that brings innovative and flexible technology solutions from basic billing kWh energy meters to highly flexible advanced metering solutions that covers all your metering needs. This advanced function meter provides the utility industry with a reliable operation, affordability, precision measurement and highly flexible solid-state meter platform that is easily integrate-able with emerging digital technologies.

Offering features beyond basic energy – such as demand, time of use, and load profile recording iMeter GD provide utilities the ability to customize to suit their specific needs—adding or subtracting as much functionality as required.

Housed in ultrasonically welded non open-able Poly-carbonate enclosure, iMeter GD is a tamper resistant and completely maintenance- free meter and is designed for residential and light commercial applications in countries where energy pilferage is high and where utilities follow the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and DIN/BS/EN standards.

Net Metering Applications

iMeter GD with import / export measurements is ideal for net metering applications. With net metering, you can offset all or part of your electricity requirements. Net metering measures the difference between the electricity you buy from Electric Utility and the energy you generate using your own solar or wind equipment. iMeter-c offer “plug and play” installation and using utility-standard installation techniques, meter can be installed and activated for net metering very quickly.

The iMeter-GD meter is tamper resistant. Multiple safety features guard against technical problems being introduced by human intervention. Passwords may be specified which prevents unauthorized access to meter data. The network monitoring features can also be used to detect conditions that may result from meter tampering designed to affect energy measurement. Meters provide auditing capabilities in order to indicate potential meter tampering. These capabilities provide a record of: programming changes, power outages, number of manual demand resets, meter cover and terminal cover openings and many other parameters to assist officials in analyzing the tampered condition.

Anti-Theft Enclosure

Designed to resist tampering for markets where energy pilferage is high, the complete meter including the communication module is housed in a transparent Anti-theft box, which is ultrasonically welded. Once sealed the meter cannot be opened without breaking, giving utilities unparalleled edge to safe guard their revenues.

iMeter GD’s advanced programming capabilities with four quadrant measurements, enables utilities to provide value-added services like Net Metering. Net metering allows utility customers to generate their own electricity cleanly and efficiently through renewable generation systems such as solar panels. During the day, most solar customers produce more electricity than they consume; net metering allows them to export that power to the grid and reduce their future electric bills.

Success of an AMI system would depend on the introduction and deployment of not only the metering infrastructure and communication technologies to capture and monitor power consumption data, but also the integration with existing operational and enterprise systems so that outage, billing, meter management and business functions of an electric utility could make use of large volumes of more descriptive data being captured and processed in 30 minute rather than one month intervals.

The iMeter GD can be integrated with a variety of smart Grid equipment. Our Meter Data Management solution Cube ESEP10 is a suite of software applications and technology that serves as a robust springboard to optimize utility operational systems outside of traditional billing, such as, coordinated load control, load shedding and load deferral.
